the dark sky shines with the slightest light
thoughts of nothing fades away into the night
every breath, every time,
the gashes go deeper, deeper
breaking away, fading away,
nearer, nearer

the empty silence encumbers the girl
she lies awaiting, her outcome is drear
screams of nothing, tears of confounding joy
drowning in crimson red, trying to escape this ploy
her destiny is bleak, there is no way
she shrieks in silence, she attempts to say
her story was shocking, her time was up
the metal glints in the slightest light,
as she releases her grip on the merciless object
the deafening thud, as it falls into place,
thoughts of nothing fades into the night
