subliminal messages in songs are rampant in the society today, and it is really terrifying that people actually do not realize this fact and they continue listening to a particular song till they get brainwashed. It is not new, and it is definitely not nonsense! i'm sure almost everyone knows or has heard of this particularly famous song. it is played backwards and foward in this website. i listened to it along with my dad twice. the link is as follows:

http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/stairway

(please do not repeatedly listen to it, you do not wish to become another victim)

even the original lyrics have a distinct meaning and message to it if you can actually decipher it, it is just that people do not regard it as a threat, merely as fellow a human being voicing out his opinions. what they do not know is, bit by bit, the words are engraved in their hearts, ingrained in their minds, taking over their lives. pretty terrifying, is it not? many people might actually think that we're just being fooled into believing that this backward messages are real but that is not true, and the fact remains that such events have existed since before we were born. creepy!

i'm beginning to regard my blog as an avenue for me to enhance my english and literature standard. i'm sorry if i'm starting to bore you. you can stop being a faithful reader, it's your loss anyway. x-O whatevs. everyone loves reading my ever interesting website.

Hi Greg. (: Did you just happen to pass by? Thank you for your thoughtful comment and link. Yes, it is indeed very interesting to know how it unconsciously affects people around us, gradually seeping into our lives.

I beg to differ about the subliminal messages in songs. True, there are songs out there that are supposedly out to brainwash the youth and distort the truth. But first, you have to ask yourself a few questions.

Firstly, how can you allow yourself to trust a website with such an inane URL? "albino black sheep"? Huh. (I checked out www.albinoblacksheep.com and found it to be an entertainment website. - How reliable is this, then?)

Secondly, which idiot would actually bother to listen to a song backwards, figure out the words and then tell you it's satanic in nature? This person probably did this with a motive in mind already - ENTERTAINMENT & SHOCK VALUE. Unless the devil told him in his dream that Stairway is a song meant for satanists?

You know, with sophisticated equipment and high technology nowadays, it's possible to grow plants suspended in mid air, possible to breed fish that glow in the dark, possible to transplant different genes from animals to plants. How hard can it be for someone to use a computer to insert these messages into the songs supposedly being played backwards? For all you know, they might have dubbed the audio file and allowed you to listen to a bunch of crap.

And you normally wouldn't have noticed the "subliminal messages" if someone hadn't told you about them. People only admitted to hearing things after prompting. Did you know all this hullabaloo was started by a prominent Baptist? What does this tell you? I can only tell you it's biased from my perspective.

Led Zeppelin is a respected band, man. They've inspired plenty of new artistes and bands. They're not satanists (not that I know of, anyway) - none of them belong to the Church of Satan.

Stairway is a classic hit song. DEAL WITH IT.

I'VE LISTENED TO IT, AND I HAVE NOT FALLEN VICTIM TO ROBERT PLANT'S HAUNTING VOICE.

Just because it's not a church song glorifying the Holy Trinity, that doesn't mean it's bad you know? Is it true that everything outside of the four walls of a church = bad and sinful?

I'm not trying to start a quarrel here, and I'm not questioning your belief. I just want to let you know that if you can listen to songs about sex and booties (please don't tell me you don't. I know you've got weird songs on your phone), why is this wrong in anyway? The lyrics may seem a bit dubious, but then again, they don't seem to be telling you to disobey and disown your religion. The vibe of the song doesn't tell me to DROP EVERYTHING, SHAVE YOUR HEAD AND BECOME A MEMBER OF A CULT.

Please learn how to discern things wisely. Just because someone tells you about subliminal messages in contemporary rock n roll songs, that does NOT mean that all rock and roll songs are evil in nature. Because rockstars are portrayed as daredevils with the "sex, drugs and rock n roll" mentality, that doesn't mean everything that comes with it is negative.

Hello Jolyn. I know that you do not wish to start a quarrel but firstly, i did not check out the origin of the website, i just merely searched for it on the web and pasted it with no beforehand awareness of the site. it was just a mere reference for people who wish to listen to it so i am not responsible for the ridiculous name of the website or its purposes.
No matter what it is, I merely voiced out my opinions on subliminal messages as a whole.

the thing is, subliminal messaging is any piece of work that is a signal or message embedded in another object, and it is designed to pass below the normal limits of perception for certain objectives. These messages are indiscernible by the conscious mind, but it affects the subconscious mind because our mind is programmed in such a way that even whispers and flashes of words will be detected even if we are incapable of detecting it consciously. it does not distinguish every song on earth as satanic song. Such technology is applied to seep into the subconscious mind, and this does just come under songs being played backwards.

Firstly, I did not state that only church songs are the only songs that acceptable in my sight and anything apart from hymns that exalt the holy trinity is considered iniquity. 'Is it true that everything outside of the four walls of a church = bad and sinful?' for your statement here, I wish to remind you that i have not said anything regarding this matter.

Secondly, you claimed that I have professed that ‘all rock and roll songs are evil in nature.'
The thing is, I did not specifically say that rock and roll songs are evil in nature. You cannot just assume that I take this stand. The song that I placed on my blog was merely an example.

Regarding your claim that 'the devil told him in his dream' that stairway to heaven is a satanic song, it is not true and I am sure that it is just a form of expression and passing remark in your point of view. There were past reports that have shown rites performed to derive such songs. For this case, I cannot ascertain that the song was a result of such a ritual because basically, I wasn't born in that era and I cannot confirm that fact. What is do know is that, there must be a cause to have an effect on people these days.

Regarding the fact that the 'hullabaloo was started by a prominent Baptist', if that is true in this case, what the person wanted to do was to bring out the point that such messages were harmful and that was his very honest opinion and he wished to share it with the world, the analogous that you and I are doing right now. Basically, I do not know who the 'prominent Baptist' was, neither his accountability nor his reliability so I do not wish to digress.

Yes, I do have nonsensical songs in my phone but there is no link to it and subliminal messaging? You told me to discern things wisely, and I am merely researching on this subject from what I have heard from my surroundings and stating my point of view.

Thank you for your time and comment.

lol gyl, you are so predictable. backward masking is only done in cult, devout christian schools who indoctrinate poor little kids.

and oh, i think i know how led zeppelin recorded this song: sing this song originally with a satanic message, then flip the track backwards and see what lyric you get! cool huh

hello cheryl!

what do you mean by 'cult, devout christian schools'? as in, cults? or both. anyway, those people that carry out messages like this are atheist, not christians.

o_O I punished an irrelevant comment that I deleted. Sry.

Shit when I think of "cult, devout christians", you know what I think of?

(this is probably wrong but wtf!!! so weird, there are actually people like that out there)

They believe they are filthy creatures not worthy of God. They practise self-flagellation, and believe in punishing themselves to repent. They actually hit themselves with whips (kinky, much?) and tie barbed wire [Crown of Thorns?] around their thighs to feel closer to God (because Jesus was tortured). They do a lot of stuff just to "cleanse" themselves. It usually involves an immense amount of pain and blood. It actually becomes a daily routine?

Actually....corporal mortification isn't the only way of punishment. It can be as simple as denying themselves of certain pleasures. Example: fasting, being celibate, staying away from meat, chocolate (Deborah does that!! Sometimes). All in the name of achieving a kind of spiritual enlightenment. Extreme cases, of course, involve beating yourself up, cutting, et cetera.

But I think this isn't much of christianity? I don't know. I think it's more of a catholic thing to do.

There are "cults", if you can call it that, out there who strongly advocate punishing oneself like that.

I don't know, this is just my own opinion lah, don't get pissed off or whatever.

OH OH I FOUND U AN EXAMPLE. Silas, albino monk, in Da Vinci Code. (Yes I know Da Vinci Code is not credible.)

sorry, i meant backward masking SEMINARS. devout christian schools hold backward masking seminars once a week to warn kids of satanic messages in rock & roll songs.

each to his own.
you decided to write about smth as controversial as this, you cannot blame others for having differing views.
defensive defensive.
this part was really funny tho. 'bit by bit, the words are engraved in their hearts, ingrained in their minds, taking over their lives.'
ha ha you realize that if this happens to you, its because you allow it to.?
and the biggest motivator is always fear.

hello. (: yes, you're right. da vinci code is not reliable. it is merely a staged up show, well-planned and beautifully packaged and sugared up to ridicule christianity.

'the biggest motivator is fear'. That is true in certain aspects but does fear actually drive someone on? Subjective, i guess.

(:
